چکیده
Chlorine is found to be a suitable element for the modification of polymeric carbon nitride properties towards an efficient visible-light photocatalytic activity. In this study, chlorine-doped (Cl-PCN) has been examined as photocatalyst in hydrogen evolution reaction. The following aspects were enhance efficiency Cl-PCN: (i) unique location Cl atoms at interlayers PCN instead on its π-conjugated planes, (ii) slight bandgap narrowing, (iii) lower recombination rate electron–hole pairs, (iv) improved photogenerated charge transport and separation, (v) higher reducing ability electrons. above factors affected 4.4-fold enhancement comparison pristine catalyst.

Ammonia-induced robust photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of graphitic carbon nitride.
We report a new and effective method to prepare high activity graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) by a simple ammonia etching treatment. The obtained g-C3N4 displays a high BET surface area and enhanced electron/hole separation efficiency. The hydrogen evolution rates improved from 52 μmol h(-1) to 316.7 μmol h(-1) under visible light.

Solar-light-driven H2 production in water with a [NiFeSe]-hydrogenase (H2ase) and a bioinspired synthetic nickel catalyst (NiP) in combination with a heptazine carbon nitride polymer, melon (CNx), is reported. The semibiological and purely synthetic systems show catalytic activity during solar light irradiation with turnover numbers (TONs) of more than 50 000 mol H2 (mol H2ase)-1 and approximat...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic hydrogen evolution on dye-sensitized mesoporous carbon nitride photocatalyst with magnesium phthalocyanine.
Spectral sensitization of a mesoporous graphite carbon nitride (mpg-C(3)N(4)) photocatalyst was investigated by depositing magnesium phthalocyanine (MgPc) to expand the absorption to wavelengths longer than those of the principal mpg-C(3)N(4). The obtained sample, MgPc/Pt/mpg-C(3)N(4) (Pt as a cocatalyst) showed stable photocatalytic evolution of hydrogen from aqueous solution in the presence o...

متن کاملPorous graphitic carbon nitride synthesized via direct polymerization of urea for efficient sunlight-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production.
Energy captured directly from sunlight provides an attractive approach towards fulfilling the need for green energy resources on the terawatt scale with minimal environmental impact. Collecting and storing solar energy into fuel through photocatalyzed water splitting to generate hydrogen in a cost-effective way is desirable. To achieve this goal, low cost and environmentally benign urea was use...
